Inside the 90 seat theatre
The Unicorn theatre is based in Abingdon Abbey which was founded in 675 AD for twelve Benedictine Monks. Henry VIII is known to have stayed at the Abbey and numerous royals are buried there. Although much of the original Abbey is now buried under the gardens, the existing buildings remain a unique venue for live music. The grand architecture of the venue is matched by the superb accoustics in the main hall.
